Unnati distributed Education materials (exercises copies, pens and pencils), school uniform (shirt and pant/skirt), warm cloths (woollen sweater and cap) and school bags to 150 children of 10 government schools of Thakre Rural Municipality of Dhading district of Nepal.
Students were selected through baseline study and in close consultation with representative local governments, School Management Committee (SMC), parents and teachers. Unnati staffs and team conducted series of visits, meetings and consultations with representatives of school management, local government and family members of the student. Students were selected based on their economic and social background.
First education support package under Child Education and Empowerment Project (CEEP) was distributed in December 2020 and January 2021. All 10 schools have provided letter of acknowledgments after distribution of these materials to students. Parents, teachers and representatives of local government were present in the distribution programmes.
