Strategy
Our integrated and multi-sectoral approach is what makes us unique. We believe that sustainable development can only be achieved by addressing social, economic, cultural, and environmental issues together through inclusive and community-led solutions.
Objectives
- Empower communities through interventions ineducation, health, livelihoods, and other key socio-economic sectors.
- Promoteskill-based training, enterprise development, career counseling, and sustainable livelihoods, especially for youth, women, and marginalized groups.
- Conductresearch, public policy advocacy, build strategic partnerships, and engage youth volunteers to advance social progress.
Unnati primarily focuses on children, adolescents, youth, women, and marginalized communities. Its interventions are centered in public schools and communities that are socially, economically, and geographically disadvantaged. Currently, Unnati is implementing projects and initiatives in the districts of Achham, Palpa, Kaski, Dhading, Kathmandu, Bhaktapur, Lalitpur, Makwanpur, and Kavre. A significant focus is placed on reaching Chepang, Dalit, and daily wage worker families, including those living in slum areas of the Mahadevbeshi River of Dhading, Bagmati Province, as well as the socially and economically marginalized and remote communities of Achham district in Sudurpaschim Province.
Legal Status
Unnati is officially registered with the District Administration Office, Kathmandu (Reg. No. 741/072) under the Organization Registration Act, 2034 (B.S.), since March 11, 2015.
Unnati is affiliated with the Social Welfare Council-SWC (Affiliation No. 41396) and locally registered at Ward Office 29 of Kathmandu Metropolitan City.
Unnati is also tax registered under PAN 603192685.
