Unnati distributed livestocks including goats, pig and buffalo to 15 families as identified beneficiaries for livelihood programme. Out of 15 families, 10 families received 3 goats each, 3 families received 2 pigs each and 2 families received 1 buffalo each. As per livelihood assessment and the interest of family, Unnati distributed livestock to each them. Families are economically back-warded, highly affected by COVID-19 in their economic activities and the major efforts to raise their economic conditions are engage them in livestock farming which can be sustainable and long term economic sources for the family.

The major objective of the livestock distribution is to make family self-made economic dependent and make them able to fulfill family demands and educational needs of family in long run. Ultimately, this will help for quality education and make the students more motivating towards going to school and having education in very good way.

Unnati prepared the contract paper to each family mentioning that they should support their children to go to school and allow them more time for their study as well. This shall make parents more aware and responsible for their education. Similarly, Beneficiaries families are encourage to increase their livelihood scheme increasing numbers of goat, pig and buffalo. So, it makes them more accountable towards program and continue for their economic sustainability in long run.

In the presence of Chairperson Bishnu Bahadur Khatri, General Secretary Rabin Malla, Program Officer Chhabilal Devkota, and Social Mobilizer Binita Praja, livestock were distributed at Dhading Field Office of Unnati on 1st Sep, 2022. Before distributing the livestocks, discussion and counseling with family members were done and contract were done with everyone. After contract, goats and pigs were distributed on same day and buffalo were distributed on 11th September. After getting support from Unnati, each family members were very happy and they committed to take care of livestock very well. Their motivation and energy may remain the same and they shall do progress for the upliftment of their economic condition and to grow their children education.
