Unnati conducts comprehensive needs assessments before project implementation to ensure targeted and responsive interventions. Livelihood assessments identify economic challenges and inform support such as small business grants, vocational training, and agricultural inputs. Student support assessments focus on academic, emotional, and health-related barriers, leading to services such as tutoring, psychosocial counselling, and inclusive education programs. School support assessments examine infrastructure, learning resources, and teacher capacity, resulting in the provision of libraries, sports and arts materials, digital tools, and teacher training. Training needs assessments identify capacity gaps among children, youth, parents, educators, and teachers, leading to training programs in areas such as teaching learning skills, financial literacy, enterprise development, parenting education, health, hygiene, gender equality, child development, and vocational skills. These integrated assessments enable Unnati to design interventions that are impactful, equitable, and sustainable across its working communities.
