
Jibesh Tamang, a 17-year-old from Saathghumti, Thakre Rural Municipality in Dhading, is a bright and dedicated Grade 9 student preparing to move up to Grade 10. He lives with his family of six, including his parents and four siblings. His mother, Radhika Tamang, works in their field, while his father is a driver. His eldest sister recently started working in Dubai, his younger sister is studying for a Bachelor’s in Education, and his younger brother is in Grade 5 at Janajagriti Secondary School.
Jibesh has been receiving educational support from Unnati, which has helped him greatly. The support includes school supplies like stationery, sanitary kits, a uniform, book rack, and bedding set.
Jibesh is visually impaired and currently stays at the blind hostel of Janajagriti Secondary School. Despite his challenges, he is active in both studies and extracurricular activities. His determination, passion for learning, and positive attitude make him stand out.
He also attends music classes and uses sports materials provided by Unnati. He dreams of becoming a teacher in the future. Jibesh has a strong talent for singing and has even been invited to audition as a Singing Idol on Baisakh 6, 2082. He actively participates in school events, often earning prizes and recognition.
Jibesh is committed to pursuing higher education in the field of Education. He hopes to continue receiving support from Unnati on this journey. “I am very thankful to Unnati for helping me stay focused and move toward my dreams,” he shared.
